Fees & Clerking

Chambers accepts privately paid work, conditional fee agreements, publicly funded cases and casework through the public access scheme. Our fees guide is based on an hourly rate which varies according to the seniority and experience of counsel, the complexity of the case and/or the urgency of the case. Practitioners are required to record details of the hours worked and this will be itemised on fee notes.

Some members of chambers undertake pro bono (no fee) work through the Bar Pro Bono Unit.

 

Experience & Fee Range

Because of the wide differences in the length and complexity of the cases undertaken by barristers in Chambers and the need to remain flexible and competitive, fees - and the fee structure - for each case are agreed separately. If requested, the clerks will quote hourly rates for individual barristers.

Under 5 years call £50 - £100
5-10 years call £80 - £150
10-15 years £140 - £300
Over 15 years £180 - £450
Silk £350 +
