Our clients
Regulators, such as the FSA; the regulated, including banks, building societies, insurance firms, investment managers (hedge funds) and IFAs; and third parties such as accountants, actuaries, professional trustees, local authorities and investors.
We represent clients before the RDC, First-tier Tribunals, Crown Court, the High Court, Court of Appeal, House of Lords and European Court of Justice. In addition we have advised and worked with the General Counsel's Division, Enforcement Division and Regulatory Decisions Committee of the FSA on law, policy and rule implementation.
Direct access to barristers
Our barristers have extensive experience of advising and representing clients directly. We can often accept instructions from in-house lawyers, financial institutions, commercial organisations, professionals and members of the public without the need to go through a solicitor.
International Finance
We offer a comprehensive legal service in major international financial centres around the world including commercial and regulatory work, arbitrations and other advisory work. We have a number of barristers who are qualified in a variety of foreign jurisdictions including New York, the BVI, Cayman Islands, the Channel Islands and the Middle East.
Outer Temple Chambers has an established presence in the Middle East with an office in the centre of Abu Dhabi. We were the first Chambers to open an office in the region. Barristers have also arranged consultancies and secondments with local firms and international firms based locally. We have several barristers who have rights of audience in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and several with a Sharia and Middle East legal background.

Outer Temple Chambers has seen further increases in financial services work. Michael Bowes QC is arguably 'the pre-eminent silk for market abuse'; whilst Richard Lissack QC's 'quality of advocacy is high'; he is recognised for high-level regulatory advice work for firms both at home and abroad.
