Partners and Chambers 2008
This set has cemented its strong reputation for personal injury work due to its crop of top-quality silks and juniors. It has benefited from the addition of five barristers from the defunct 199 The Strand and now houses more than 40 personal injury experts.
By combining "clear advice" and "straight-forward analysis," Andrew Spink QC remains at the forefront of the field. He focuses on multiparty actions with an emphasis on foreign jurisdiction matters and spinal and brain injury claims.
David Westcott QC is renowned for his capabilities in both personal injury and clinical negligence work. A "polished advocate" who is "extremely bright," he is "the complete package as a QC."
Meanwhile, the "impressive" James Aldridge maintains an active practice, as does Christopher Kemp. Kemp mostly represents claimants in catastrophic injury cases, particularly those relating to brain and spinal injuries.
Matthew Phillips has a nationwide practice focusing on industrial disease work and claims of the utmost severity.
Debuting in the tables this year is Eliot Woolf. He acts for both claimants and defendants in the full range of personal injury matters.
