Practice summary

Robert Rhodes has specialised in wide areas of practice for many years, both in the UK and abroad, with a particular interest in the Middle East, mainland China and Hong Kong.  He has rights of audience in the Dubai International Financial Centre and is a member of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre.  He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the Dispute Board Federation, and a member of the London Court of International Arbitration.  He has been approached to act as counsel in an international shipping arbitration.  He has extensive experience of chairing disciplinary tribunals (eg IMRO and AIDB/AADB). In 2008, he observed a human rights trial in Turkey. He has published widely (see below) and lectured in 3 continents. He has considerable judicial experience as well as being a qualified mediator. He accepts direct access instructions from the public. He is a Bencher of the Inner Temple and a member of the Bar Council.
