He has significant experience in advising and representing healthcare professionals in General Medical Council, General Dental Council, FHSAA and PCT tribunals and in Administrative Court appeals from GMC hearings. He also acts in disciplinary hearings for actuaries and solicitors . He defended in the first case brought by the Health Care Commission regarding an unlicensed clinic.

In clinical negligence he covers all areas up to and including obstetrics, gynaecology, brain injuries and cerebral palsy, inquests (including high profile jury inquests). His personal injury practice encompasses brain injury, child abuse, criminal injuries compensation, spinal injuries, sports injuries, orthopaedic injuries, industrial disease, stress claims, vascular injuries. In Dr Hassler v Capper he won damages of 4 million euros in a contested PI case.

Anthony has experience in serious crime, often as a leading junior, prosecuting or defending mainly professionals accused of fraud (R v Fallon), murder (R v Pile & Rossiter, R v Smitheman & Others), manslaughter, indecent assault, Health & Safety at Work Act offences and corporate manslaughter (R v Hogben). In the Court of Appeal case R v Chabaan the decision regarding the case management powers of the judge led to the Criminal Procedure Rules.
