Outer Temple Chambers is Chambers of the Year 2008

On 24th June, at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, Outer Temple Chambers saw off competition from Brick Court, Fountain Court, Maitland and other leading sets to win the coveted Chambers of the Year award at the Lawyer Awards.

The judges highlighted Chambers' successes with public access work and developments in the Middle East (Outer Temple was the first set of barristers' Chambers to open in the Gulf) as being particularly significant in Outer Temple's win.

Philip Mott QC, Head of Chambers, said "This is a great achievement of which everyone can be proud" and he went on to highlight Outer Temple's Refugee Council support, equality and diversity initiatives, as well as the set's established excellence in traditional areas of work.

Richard Lissack QC, Deputy Head of Chambers, and himself a finalist in the Barrister of the Year category for the second time in four years, said "We are delighted with this award. The coming year will prove as exciting as the past year has been, with increasing commitment to our international development, as well as paying close attention to our ever-strengthening position domestically in our core areas of practice".
