Will Young

Called to bar 2008

Will joined Chambers as a pupil in October 2009 after completing his Bar exams in June 2008. He has a Upper Second degree in Modern History from Oxford University, and completed his Graduate Diploma in Law with a Distinction. He was awarded a Lord Denning Scholarship from Lincoln's Inn.

He is a ratified representative for the Free Representation Unit, having appeared in tribunals for clients in both Social Security and Employment matters. He was also involved in other pro bono projects during law school, including giving legal advice to members of the public at Battersea Legal Advice Clinic, and as a student helper with Advocates for International Development.

In the year after his Bar course he worked as a freelance advocate in the County Courts around London, gaining experience of hearings in front of District and Circuit Judges, especially in mortgage possession claims and other debt-related matters, but also dealing with interim hearings in more complex cases.
