MoD’s duty to protect against Q fever – Robert Dickason in first test case


A six-day trial begins today at Central London County Court with Robert Dickason of Outer Temple Chambers led by Ben Collins QC for the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

The case centres on former former soldier, Wayne Bass  who is suing the Ministry of Defence after contracting Q fever in Afghanistan. His case is the first to test the MoD’s duty to protect against Q fever, an infectious disease.

Robert Dickason specialises in clinical negligence and health and safety. He has been appointed to the Attorney General’s list of Junior Counsel (C Panel) primarily to undertake clinical negligence, personal injury and public law work.
