We are delighted to welcome Andrew Axon to Outer Temple Chambers as a Door Tenant, further expanding our award-winning personal injury and clinical negligence teams and enhancing Andrew’s portfolio of clients in the South of England.
Andrew already has an enviable practice in the North East, noted as a “Star Individual” and ranked as a top tier barrister by the legal directories. He is described as “top class” by Chambers & Partners and “An excellent barrister, particularly with complex cases” by Legal 500.
He represents those with profound needs and specialises in claims of the utmost severity involving complex rehabilitation needs, adapted accommodation, Court of Protection and 24-hour care packages. He also advises the British and European Societies of Gastroenterology on individualised consent and he regularly lectures to national bodies and professional organisations.
The Personal Injury team has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with Outer Temple Chambers recently winning “Personal Injury Set of the Year” at the Chambers Bar Awards 2023 and a number of new members joining the fold. Andrew said of his tenancy, “Outer Temple has a formidable reputation and I am delighted to be joining the team, many of whom I know well already. I have no doubt that this move will provide many opportunities and am looking forward to building my London practice here.”
