Aditya is a Rhodes Scholar with a B.C.L. and M.Phil from the University of Oxford (2010-2012), having previously graduated from NALSAR University of Law, India with multiple academic gold medals. Over the past decade, he has built a robust counsel practice (akin to a barrister) in India specialising in commercial arbitration, litigation, and infrastructure disputes. He has edited renowned Indian commentaries on “Civil Procedure” and “Specific Relief”, and has published in numerous journals including Arbitration International and Civil Justice Quarterly. He also taught civil procedure and commercial remedies as an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School, India.

Aditya has recently received an unconditional exemption from the BSB to qualify as a barrister, and has been admitted to the Honourable Society of Inner Temple, with an impending call in March 2026. Post his call, he would be one of the very few dual qualified barristers / counsel based out of India.

Aditya’s practice is centred on high-value commercial disputes, including shareholder disputes, securities litigation, telecom and infrastructure disputes. He is currently acting for some of India’s leading corporates and Govt. entities, in domestic and international disputes and arbitrations exceeding ₹6,000 crores (~£510 million). He has appeared in arbitrations seated in India and abroad (Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Paris and London) under SIAC, UNCITRAL, and ICC Rules, covering shareholder breaches, valuations, fraud, petrochemical projects, EPC disputes, delay and disruption claims, and investor-contractor conflicts. His work frequently involves cross-border strategy, valuation analysis, expert evidence, and enforcement proceedings.

Aditya is routinely briefed by prominent Indian and Foreign law firms, to appear as lead counsel or co-counsel in arbitrations / litigations. He has worked with and been led by several prominent Kings Counsel and Senior Advocates based in London and India.

He is recognised as amongst the top upcoming legal professionals in India in a book titled “On the Rise”, published by Lexis Nexis India (2017).

Currently acting for a claimant as lead Counsel in a domestic arbitration of over Rs. 220 Crores (GBP 19 million) in relation to a hydel power project in North India.

Currently acting for a claimant as co-counsel in 5 consolidated arbitrations (and related Court proceedings) concerning a hydel power project in North East India with claims exceeding Rs. 720 Crores (GBP 60 Million).

Currently advising an entity in relation to enforcement of an award in an investment treaty arbitration against an African country.

Acted for a claimant as co-counsel in an Adhoc International Commercial Arbitration in relation to a Rs. 4200 Crore (GBP 350 million) claim in relation to a petrochemical complex.

Acted for a party in relation to one of India’s biggest e-commerce / retail and shareholder disputes (Amazon v. Future).

Acted for the Respondents in a USD 20 million SIAC arbitration concerning valuation of shares of an Indian entity.

Successfully Acted for a telecom company in a challenging demand notices exceeding Rs. 1600 Crores (GBP 135 million) before the Telecom Disputes Tribunal.

Meghalaya Power Distribution Company Ltd. v. Reliance Infratel Ltd., dtd 07.05.2025.

Successfully acted for a Resolution Applicant in a challenge to demands raised by a state owned entity for pre-insolvency dues. The decision was upheld in appeal.

Ebix Singapore v. Committee of Creditors, 2023 SCC Online SC 2440

Acted for a Resolution Applicant before the Supreme Court in a landmark ruling on the question of withdrawal of a Resolution Plan.

Emaar MGF v. Aftab Singh, 2018 SCC Online SC 2771.

Successfully acted for the respondent before the Supreme Court in a mater relating to the arbitrability of consumer disputes. The Court commented on the submissions as being “short and impressive”.
