Prior to a career at the bar, Elliott had a ten year career as a doctor. He studied Medicine at the University of Cambridge and qualified as a General Practitioner in 2020.
Elliott joined Chambers in September 2025 following the successful completion of his pupillage. During his pupillage, Elliott focused on Chambers’ health services and was supervised by Eliot Woolf KC, Ben Bradley KC and William Young. Elliott also gained experience in employment law and was supervised by Naomi Ling.
Elliott is developing a broad practice across Chambers’ specialisms, with a particular focus on clinical negligence, personal injury, industrial disease, travel law, inquests and Court of Protection work.
As well as his court work, Elliott has a growing paperwork practice including advices, drafting pleadings and schedules of loss.
Before qualifying as a GP, Elliott spent six years as a junior doctor gaining a broad range of experience in both primary and secondary care, and has significant experience of both Acute Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He has an extremely good understanding of the NHS and primary care systems. He continued to work as a GP while studying for the GDL (Distinction) and the Bar course (Distinction). During his time as a GP, Elliott was involved in teaching and co-authored a book aimed at helping those prepare for the GP application process.
Elliott’s practice includes all areas of Personal Injury work and he accepts instructions from both claimants and defendants.
Early in tenancy, Elliott was instructed in the Military Deafness Litigation and is developing a busy industrial and military disease practice.
Elliott has experience in a wide range of claims, including Employers’ Liability, road traffic accidents and the Highways Act. He has acted successfully for both claimants and defendants. His court experience includes preliminary hearings, trials and infant approval hearings. Elliott has experience of led work in high value catastrophic injury cases.
Elliott also has a busy paperwork practice, providing advices on liability and quantum, drafting pleadings and schedules of losses. He also has experience advising on settlement, including for six-figure claims.
Elliott acts for both claimants and defendants in clinical negligence cases. He is developing a busy paperwork practice providing advices on liability and quantum and drafting pleading. Elliott has experience advising in conference with experts.
Elliott also has experience of led work in high value clinical injury cases.
Elliott is developing a busy travel and cross-border practice, and is regularly instructed to advise on liability and quantum, draft pleadings and advise on settlement for claims, including those involving the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.
Elliott has appeared in the county court in respect of travel claims, including preliminary hearings, CMCs and infant approval hearings.
Elliott’s inquest practice focuses on cases involving a healthcare or personal injury element. He has experience representing families and accepts instructions for a range of Interested Persons.
Elliott accepts instructions for individuals and regulators in professional discipline matters that involve healthcare practitioners. He has experience in multi-day disciplinary tribunals.
Elliott accepts instructions on behalf of all parties in Court of Protection matters.
