In the Disciplinary & Regulatory field he frequently appears before the General Medical Council, the General Dental Council and General Chiropractic Council.
In Health & Safety he prosecuted the Southampton Hospitals Health Trust for failing properly to supervise their junior doctors, a landmark case in this area of the law.
In this area, also, he has represented clients such as Balfour Beatty and prosecuted such Defendants as Network Rail, where as senior Counsel he reported directly to the Attorney General in the prosecution of Network Rail and its officers over the Ladbroke Grove rail disaster.
His Health & Safety at work practice embraces cases of gross negligence manslaughter, which he has both prosecuted and defended as both junior and leading counsel.
His personal injury practice embraces largely, though not exclusively, catastrophic injury particularly where there are complex difficulties on liability
He appeared for the Claimant in Radcliffe v Harper Adams, a case of catastrophic injury, now one of the leading cases under the Occupiers Liability Act 1984.
