Jonathan Moffatt is a Partner at Mourant Ozannes, Cayman Islands, specialising in commercial litigation and insolvency.
He currently acts for Primeo Fund (in Official Liquidation), a Madoff feeder fund, in its claim against the HSBC group entities which acted as its administrator and custodian. He also advises on a variety of insolvency – related issues and transactions with a Cayman angle.
Prior to joining Mourant Ozannes, Jonathan practised at the Bar with Outer Temple Chambers, London for over three years, acting in a range of financial services work.
Jonathan received a First Class degree in History (BA Hons) and the Jean Henderson prize at the University of Exeter. He completed his Graduate Diploma in Law and Bar Vocational Course in London and he was awarded the Diplock Scholarship from Middle Temple Inn. He was called to the Bar in 2009 and he is a qualified volunteer for the Free Representation Unit.
