Olivia is a barrister (and previously solicitor advocate) with extensive international arbitration experience in investor-state disputes and complex commercial arbitration.
Olivia’s experience spans across a number of sectors and regions in proceedings brought under the ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, SCC, DIFC, and NAI Rules. Olivia has a broad range of experience representing, advising, and assisting clients in, and prior to, disputes including in relation to funding investment claims.
Olivia has represented both States and claimant investors including the Russian Federation in the complex Crimean arbitrations brought by Ukrainian investors in Crimea under the Russia-Ukraine bilateral investment treaty. Olivia is currently representing several sanctioned Russian investors in a series of investment arbitrations against European States relating to their imposition of sanctions.
Prior to joining the Bar, Olivia trained as a solicitor with a large US law firm before moving to a Russian boutique firm in order to establish their first London office.
Olivia has extensive experience in investment arbitration representing and advising both claimant investors and States in ICSID and UNCITRAL proceedings across a diverse range of sectors and geographical regions.

Olivia also has considerable experience in representing clients in complex commercial arbitrations brought under a variety of rules including the ICC, LCIA, SCC, DIFC, and NAI and advising clients more generally on potential disputes before they arise.

Representing a Bulgarian power company in a USD 20 million SCC arbitration concerning a coal supply contract.
Representing a professional fund manager in summary arbitration proceedings under the auspices of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute.
Representing a general partner in an LCIA arbitration under Cayman law concerning a partnership dispute.
Advising a large oil company in a commercial arbitration involving the renewal of a lease.
Representing a US healthcare operator in an ICC commercial arbitration.
Representing an American coal company in an ICC commercial arbitration against an Indian energy company.
Olivia has some limited experience in construction arbitration including advising a Lebanese construction company in a high value dispute concerning a large Middle Eastern infrastructure project.
Olivia recently had her first formal appointment as tribunal secretary in a USD 150 million LCIA arbitration under Tanzanian law concerning a wildlife lodge in Tanzania.
Olivia also has experience in representing clients in arbitration-related English court proceedings including representing Canadian claimants in English court proceedings against Kazakhstan in respect of an extension of time application in order to challenge an arbitral award.
