With a background in both serious crime and high value civil litigation, Gordon has become a specialist in the areas of clinical negligence, personal injury and regulatory law.
Gordon is regularly instructed in wrongful birth and cerebral palsy cases. Recently in the CICA he obtained a Cerebral Palsy damages award of £8.5M believed to be the largest ever awarded in that jurisdiction.
Gordon is regularly instructed to represent medical practitioners before the General Medical Council, the General Dental Council, the High Court (Judicial Review) in respect of regulatory breaches and in ancillary criminal prosecutions.
Gordon was instructed in the Hatfield train prosecution, the leading case under the old law of corporate manslaughter and he represents companies and individuals in Health & Safety Prosecutions.
Gordon often acts for Claimants with catastrophic spinal and head injuries.
