Robert Dickason specialises in clinical negligence and health and safety. He has been appointed to the Attorney General’s list of Junior Counsel (C Panel) primarily to undertake clinical negligence, personal injury and public law work.

Robert is consistently ranked as a Leading Junior in Clinical Negligence (Legal 500, 2018, 2017, 2016). He acts for patients, Trusts and individual clinicians alike in the High Court and County Court, as well as at inquests, joint settlement meetings and mediations. His practice spans the full clinical spectrum. He is instructed in the most complex liability and quantum disputes. He is good with clients, understands the sensitivities of NHS work and can be relied upon to turn papers around quickly and carefully. He has particular expertise on matters of causation (APIL Clinical Negligence textbook, APIL Personal Injury loose-leaf) and in clinical negligence cases involving members of the Armed Forces.

Robert also has a thriving health and safety practice. He has appeared in some of the most high profile and complex cases in recent years (Lakanal House, Sterecycle manslaughter, Warwickshire Fire). He undertakes the full range of contentious and advisory work, representing public authorities, large conglomerates, small and medium businesses, and individual directors and employees. His inquest and personal injury experience enable him to provide holistic advice to his clients from the outset.
