Outer Temple is delighted to welcome new pupil Carol Cheng to our set. We look forward to having her with us and are sure she will gain lots of invaluable experience.
Prior to starting pupillage, she practised as a solicitor in the banking department at Linklaters (London) since 2017, following completion of a two-year training contract with Linklaters (Hong Kong) since 2015. She has also undertaken a secondment to the Leveraged Acquisition Finance legal team at HSBC, and was recently a High Court Judicial Assistant to Mr Justice Calver and Mr Justice Jacobs in the Commercial Court.
She has been granted rights of audience before the Astana International Finance Centre (AIFC) Court in Kazakhstan and the Courts of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), and is included on various panels of arbitrators including the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA, London) and the Pacific International Arbitration Centre (PIAC, Vietnam). She is a member of the AIFC Academy of Law Academic Pool. She also previously coached the team representing the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in the 25th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot 2020.
Carol read law at Murray Edwards College, the University of Cambridge, before going on to obtain a Master of Laws degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
