Robert Rhodes QC to Lecture at the Arbitration and Mediation Court of the Caribbean, in Barbados

Outer Temple’s Robert Rhodes QC, will be presenting a lecture at the Arbitration and Mediation Court of the Caribbean. This will be taking place on Friday 2nd September 2022 in Barbados. On 2nd September 2022, Robert Rhodes QC, will present a lecture at the AMCC (of whose panels of Arbitrators and Mediators he is a member). He has been invited to do so by Sir Trevor Carmichael, KA, LVO, QC. Robert will be speaking on The Advantages of Mediation in Disputes arising from International Commercial Contracts, and on The Singapore Convention. James Counsell QC and Justina Stewart to give advocacy training at the DIFC Academy of Law

Outer Temple’s James Counsell QC and Justina Stewart will be providing advocacy training as part of the DIFC Laws Certificate programme. This talk will take place on 25th-26th July 2022. The DIFC Academy are hosting a course named ‘Advanced Advocacy Skills’ which is part of the Certificate in Common Law, DIFC Laws & Courts Practice programme. The course will explore the application of traditional advocacy skills to activities routinely performed by lawyers. Tim Nesbitt QC Memorial Cricket Match

A Memorial Cricket Match was played in honour of Tim Nesbitt QC’s memory. It was a very enjoyable day full of fond stories and reminiscences of Tim! Tim Nesbitt QC was a late member of Outer Temple Chambers. Tim was not only a very fine lawyer, but a person of huge decency, graciousness and humour who was always modest about his own exceptional abilities and generous with his time in supporting his colleagues in Chambers, with particular encouragement and support for those at the start of their careers. Matt Sale has taken part in RideLondon fundraising cycle

Practice Director, Matt Sale, has taken part in RideLondon on 29th May and fundraised for WheelPower, the British Wheelchair Sports Foundation Charity. This Sunday, Matt took part in a 100 mile cycle ride around London and Essex, organised by RideLondon, to raise money for the charity. Wheelpower have been helping people with physical impairments get in to sport for over 70 years now and are at the heart of wheelchair sport.
