Charlotte Elves named in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 list

We are delighted to announce that Charlotte Elves has been included in The Lawyer’s ‘Hot 100’ list for 2026.

Every year, The Lawyer compiles a list of members that that they feel have made an impact on the legal world and have excelled in their field.

Their ‘Hot 100’ rates on excellence and relevance. It covers “an incredibly diverse mix of legal professionals; scrappers from the rough and tumble of criminal law; sophisticated corporate dealmakers; intellectuals and silver-tongued advocates from barristers’ profession; the in-house counsel with the ear of their CEOs; associates rising to greatness; and even the occasional professional with no legal qualifications at all who is nevertheless showing the industry how to better itself. But whatever world they come from, they are all doing amazing work.  They are all of the present moment. The work they are doing is important now.”

Charlotte Elves – Hot 100:2026

Charlotte is a go-to junior across her practice areas in contempt, pensions & discrimination law. This year, The Lawyer has recognised her talent and the cases she has shaped naming her as one of the Hot 100;

“Charlotte Elves may only have been called in 2022 but she’s already established herself as the junior counsel par excellence, as the cases she handled in 2025 exemplify.”

“…This  year is shaping up to be a prolific one for Elves, too. The Peggie case is being sent to the Employment Appeal Tribunal and, following accusations that first-instance judge Sandy Kemp included erroneous AI-generated references in his ruling, it’s sure to be just as explosive as the original. Elves is down for more high-profile Court of Appeal cases involving contempt, including one being fought by mining giant BHP in relation to the Mariana Dam litigation and another focused on how the Legal Aid Agency deals with the recovery of defence costs. The latter will have huge implications for how contempt of court cases are run and is likely to go all the way to the Supreme Court. Expect to hear a lot more about Elves in the months to come.”
