Danielle Watts and Emman Kaur Bhangu offered tenancy

Outer Temple Chambers are delighted to announce that Danielle Watts and Emman Kaur Bhangu have been offered tenancy from September 2026.

Danielle says ‘I am delighted to be joining Chambers following the completion of my pupillage. I have learnt from some amazing supervisors and am very grateful to be developing my career at such a supportive and welcoming set.’ Emman echoes the sentiment, adding ‘I am particularly grateful for the breadth of work and guidance I have received during pupillage, and I look forward to continuing to build a diverse civil and commercial practice at the Bar, both in the UK and internationally.’

Danielle has experience as a paralegal for a leading human rights law firm, where she assisted on matters including complex judicial review challenges, private law claims and the Covid-19 Inquiry. She graduated from the University of Oxford with a First Class Honours in Jurisprudence, where she was awarded prizes for her exam performance in criminal law and tort law. Her dissertation focused on issues relating to the disclosure of medical risks, for which she achieved the joint highest mark in her cohort.

Emman previously worked as a legal assistant to a barrister at a leading set specialising in media, public, and human rights law. In this role, she assisted with complex matters, including a high-profile defamation trial. She graduated from the University of Cambridge with First Class Honours in Law, where she was awarded the Bundy Scholarship and the Orlando Bridgeman Prize for her performance in the Law Tripos examinations. She subsequently completed an LLM at the London School of Economics, with a focus on public international law, and was awarded a Distinction.
