Outer Temple Chambers’ Sports Law Team are seen by many as one of the go-to sets for safeguarding matters in the sports industry. No person involved in sport should ever have to worry about abuse or harassment whether they are at amateur level or an elite athlete. Our Sports Law team act on behalf of children, females, vulnerable adults and other individuals who have encountered mental or physical abuse within their sport. The team also advise governing bodies and organisations on safeguarding issues.

Members of our Sports Law team have been involved in a number of high profile sports safeguarding cases including cases in the Courts alleging vicarious liability on the part of clubs and sporting associations for injuries caused by non-recent sexual and racist abuse of young players by coaches in a series of sports including Football, Rugby and Karate.
