Mark Pollock, a blind adventure athlete and well-known motivational speaker, is now paraplegic after falling through a second floor window of a residential property.

Instructed with Christopher Wilson-Smith QC by Ben Rogers, Partner at Stewarts Law, Matthew Stockwell acted for Mark Pollock in his successful claim against the householders’ insurer. The trial attracted widespread media attention in the UK and Ireland.

The case raised a number interesting issues, in particular the duties owed to disabled visitors by an occupier, which are discussed in an article co-written by Matthew and Ben Rogers.
