Ian Denham’s article has recently been published in the July edition of the PI Focus magazine. PI Focus magazine is full of essential insights for personal injury and clinical negligence solicitors, barristers and experts.
In his article, Ian discussed the topic of establishing a breach of duty when clinical negligence occurs abroad. These types of claims are rapidly increasing with the rise of media reports of dissatisfied individuals who travel to receive medical treatment and therapies. Ian covers the standard of care in cross-border clinical negligence claims, which in turn, raises the question as to what amounts to reasonableness where surgery has been performed abroad.
