John McKendrick QC instructed in serious medical treatment case

John McKendrick QC, instructed by Hannah Taylor of Bevan Brittan, appeared for an NHS Trust in a complex medical treatment case before Mr Justice Keehan.

Judgment was handed down on 30 August 2018 after several days of oral evidence and submissions.

The parties accepted aspects of the patient’s proposed care plan should be made, however, the judge ruled that CPR continued to be in the patient’s best interests, despite her frail condition.

The case has been the subject of a number of media reports such as Daily Mail or ITV.
