The British Association for Sport and Law (BASL) is a prominent professional organisation that brings together legal practitioners, sports industry experts, and professionals interested in the intersection of law and sports in the United Kingdom. BASL serves as a leading platform for fostering dialogue, knowledge sharing, and networking among its members who are involved in sports law, governance, and regulation. This is achieved through the organisation of conferences, seminars, and workshops on a wide range of sports law topics, including intellectual property, contract law, anti-doping regulations, athlete welfare, and dispute resolution.
Louis Weston, Head of Sports Law team at Outer Temple Chambers, and Director of the BASL will be Chairing the first panel discussion at the 31st BASL Conference from 10:00am to 11:00am. The panel discussion will focus on ‘Integrity in Sport: Experts and Complications‘. The panellists include Tom Chignell (Betting Integrity Expert), Aja Hall (Co-Director of Integrity, Regulation and Safeguarding, British Horseracing Authority), Julia Lowis (Senior Legal Counsel at ITIA) and Kendrah Potts (4 New Square).
