Since 2001, the Mental Health Foundation has been leading ‘Mental Health Awareness Week’, with the theme this year being ‘movement: moving more for our mental health’.
Every year we participate in this week and this year, in line with its theme, we have organised a variety of activities for both our barristers and support teams to encourage movement and exercise. Outer Temple’s Mental Health Awareness Week has included a wellness breakfast, guided yoga and meditation by Gillian Evans, a lunchtime walk and more.
With the aim to encourage everyone to be more active in their daily routines, and to move more, we set up a Step Count Challenge from 13th – 19th May whereby the team would download the app, compete for the highest step count each day, and the highest weekly step count won a fabulous spa prize. Congratulations to our winner, Lucy Lee who won the Step Count Challenge and our second and third runner-ups Jana Danekova and Stuart Haynes, who were awarded wellness hampers.
A big thanks to all those who took part and donated to the Mental Health Foundation.

Let’s keep moving!
