Olinga, acting unled, represented the Defendant hospital in this liability-admitted claim which had been pleaded at in excess of £2 million.
As a result of an admitted breach of duty, the Claimant had experienced a bearing dislocation following a partial knee replacement of the left knee. As a result, he had undergone nine further surgeries on his knee. He had also developed ophthalmic shingles and experienced psychiatric injury. The orthopaedic experts were agreed that the Claimant’s prognosis was poor and that there was a significant amputation risk. It was agreed that, amongst other things, the Claimant required single-storey accommodation and a range of equipment.
Olinga was instructed by Amber Anderson of Kennedys.
