OTC members published in the Fourth edition of Lissack and Horlick on International Bribery and Corruption

The fourth and latest edition of ‘Lissack and Horlick on International Bribery and Corruption’ has been published, co-authored by Outer Temple’s Fiona Horlick KC and Fountain Court’s Richard Lissack KC. 15 members of Outer Temple have also contributed to various chapters in this publication.

This edition, published by LexisNexis Butterworths, offers a full overview of the legislation set in both a national and international context, with a full explanation of the scope of the Act and Ministry of Justice guidance together with detailed insight into anti-corruption measures and sentencing. This comprehensive resource is an essential tool for legal professionals and experts navigating the complexities of international bribery law. While both authoritative and accessible, it offers a clear emphasis on all practical issues with each chapter ending with a bullet-point list summarising key points to be considered.

The third edition was published in 2020 and focused on how Multilateral Development Banks such as the World Bank Group deal with corruption issues – referred to internally as sanctionable practices – and the sanctions regimes they operate.

The fourth edition is a major advance in step with the changing legislative landscape in the UK, with its new focus on corporate transparency and combatting economic crime demonstrated by the Economic Crime (Transparency and Enforcement) Act 2022, the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, and the Government’s updated Economic Crime Plans. This edition also covers the expansion of corporate criminal liability for economic crimes including bribery offences under the ECCTA 2023, including further potential due to Criminal Justices Bill, and the expanded powers for the SFO under ECCTA 2023.

‘Lissack and Horlick on International Bribery and Corruption’ Fourth edition
