Sajid and Ahmed join our London office with already successful and flourishing practises in International Arbitration and Commercial Litigation.
Sajid Suleman, called to the Bar in 2014, has expertise in banking and finance, civil fraud, company, construction, insolvency, insurance, partnership and shareholder disputes, and sanctions. He appears as counsel in the English courts at all levels, in LCIA, DIAC, and ICC arbitrations, and in the DIFC and ADGM Courts. Sajid also represents clients in court proceedings to enforce, challenge, or set aside arbitral awards. He has considerable experience in urgent interlocutory relief, including freezing injunctions, anti-suit injunctions, and Norwich Pharmacal Orders, often in the context of cross-border civil fraud claims.
Ahmed Elhusseiny, called to the Bar in 2022, has expertise in construction, company and shareholder disputes, insolvency, shipping and commodities, civil fraud, partnerships, banking and financial services, and sanctions. He has extensive advocacy and witness-handling experience in multi-day trials and heavy applications. He has particular experience being instructed as sole counsel to deal with urgent interlocutory applications such as freezing orders, search orders, and anti-suit injunctions. A significant portion of his practice centres on international commercial disputes in arbitration and offshore jurisdictions, with a focus on the Middle East. He has worked on several matters in international common law courts including the DIFC, ADGM, AIFC, and in offshore jurisdictions including the BVI and Cayman Islands. He is also admitted as an arbitrator with DIAC and LAMC.
