The Ulaanbaatar Declaration

David Russell QC is one of the authors of The Ulaanbaatar Declaration, which was signed by the Global Tax Advisers Platform (“GTAP”) on 12 September 2018. The Declaration sets out key priorities in international taxation, and promotes international cooperation among tax advisers, and optimisation of the national and international taxation framework.

GTAP is an international platform that gathers national and international organisations of tax professionals from all around the world.

The representatives of CFE Tax Advisers Europe, The Asia-Oceania Tax Consultants’ Association, The West African Union of Tax Institutes, The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, The International Association of Financial Executives Institutes, and The Association of Mediterranean Auditors have all signed, presented and executed the Declaration. It states that “Tax professionals must globalize, digitalize, and regain trust. The desired evolution is possible only through close cooperation at global level“.

Private Investor Middle East – International Conference

David Russell QC is also speaking at the Private Investor Middle East – International Conference on 26 and 27 September in London, together with Dr Ali Almihdar and Dr Adnan Abrahim.

Topics at this year’s conference include, amongst others: Managing wealth in an era of disappearing privacy, Trusts of the future, Divorce and inheritance disputes across borders, and Cyber risks.
