Outer Temple Chambers (Commercial Set of the Year), Andrew Spink KC (Commercial Silk of the Year) and Justina Stewart (Commercial Junior of the Year) have been recognised in the Commercial category under the English Bar in the Middle East. We are overjoyed to also be ranked as the UAE Set of the Year. The awards will be taking place on Thursday, 30th January 2025 at Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE.
These awards reflect the competency in providing expert advisory and advocacy services and facilities in the Middle East. Outer Temple Chambers has been in the Middle East for close to a decade and our members close to 20 years. Members have been involved in some of the leading disputes in the region, covering Commercial Contracts, Financial Investigations, Banking, Construction, Fraud and Asset Recovery, Fintech and Employment, as well as International Arbitration, Private Wealth and Islamic Law & Finance Advisory.
We would like also like to congratulate Andrew Spink KC on his nomination as Silk of the Year and Justina Stewart on her nomination of Junior of the Year in the English Bar in the Middle East: Commercial category.
Andrew, who recently completed two successful years in office as Chair of the Commercial Bar Association, is highly sought after as a leading silk in a wide range of commercial cases in the Commercial Court and the Chancery Division, as well as in the DIFC Courts, and in international commercial arbitrations. He is also a part-time judge with experience of sitting as a Deputy High Court Judge in the King’s Bench and Chancery Divisions of the English High Court and as a Justice of the Court of the Astana International Financial Centre Court and, in his capacity as an arbitrator in international commercial cases, is a member of the arbitration panels at the LCIA and AIFC International Arbitration Centre.
Justina is one of the very few barristers who not only has a caseload spanning some of the most high-profile and complex commercial and commercial chancery cases in the region, but is also at the heart of important, regional legislative reform. Her instructions frequently involve multi-jurisdictional elements and matters which are notable for their complexity and novelty. Before coming to the Bar, Justina was an international investment banker, working with top-ranked corporate finance teams on complex transactions. This, together with her economics degrees, gives her a level of financial acumen and familiarity with financial products that is rare at the Bar. Her excellence is reflected in her appointment for many years to the Attorney General’s Panel of Junior Counsel to the Crown.
