Outer Temple welcomes Ian Denham and Alex Haines

We are delighted to announce that Ian Denham and Alex Haines have joined Outer Temple Chambers, with Ian to work across our Personal Injury practice area and Alex to join the Business department.

Ian Denham has a particular expertise in cross-border claims, claims with features of fraud, dishonesty and exaggeration and wrongful death claims.

His cross-border practice covers advising on jurisdictional matters, applicable law, direct rights of action against insurers, claims against the MIB, holiday claims including claims under the Package Travel Regulations covering local standards, accidents in the air and on sea, and claims involving a cross-border employment aspect.

Alex Haines specialises in the sanctions regimes of International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), and the institutional law of international organisations.

He regularly appears and litigates before international tribunals and bodies around the world, including Washington DC, New York City, London, Geneva and Manila. Cases he has been instructed in have involved more than 25 international organisations, including the World Bank Group, the European Investment Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the African Development Bank, the United Nations, the World Food Programme and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
