Outer Temple Chambers hosted a Travel Law Conference in Manchester on 25th April 2024 together with a selection of esteemed guests from the travel law industry. This was a hybrid event and the recordings are now available online. The second talk of the day was ‘Reform of the Package Travel Regulations – are they fit for purpose?’ presented by Daniel Clarke and Lorna Badham of Outer Temple Chambers.

Daniel Clarke practises in personal injury. He has a particular specialism in cases with an international element, including claims raising conflicts and jurisdictional issues. He was junior counsel in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court in the leading case of Brownlie (No. 2). He is ranked as a Tier 1 leading junior for Travel Law in the Legal 500 and a leading junior in Chambers & Partners. He also has experience of acting in claims in other jurisdictions, including in the Privy Council and in Jersey. His broader personal injury practice encompasses catastrophic injury, road traffic, employer’s liability, and historic sexual abuse claims.
Lorna Badham practices in personal injury, clinical negligence and employment law. She has particular specialisms in international illness and accidents, cosmetic negligence claims and complex discrimination work. Incisive, personable and pragmatic, Lorna works overwhelmingly by repeat instruction and is entrusted with highly sensitive cases, including those for and against vulnerable individuals. Instructing solicitors praise her holistic approach to litigation and ability to identify and push legal and commercial pressure points to ensure the best outcome for her clients.
