Robert Rhodes has been admitted to the BAC/BIAC Eighth Panel of Arbitrators

Robert Rhodes KC has been admitted to the Beijing Arbitration Commission/Beijing International Arbitration Center (BAC/BIAC) Eighth Panel of Arbitrators. He has served on previous Arbitration Panels for them for several years.

The Beijing Arbitration Commission (the “BAC”) is an arbitration institution established by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality in 1995 to resolve contractual disputes and other disputes over property rights and interests between equal natural persons, legal persons, and other organizations.

The BAC has 170 foreign arbitrators from 31 countries and regions, who are committed to providing arbitration services to parties from various legal systems and diverse cultural backgrounds.

Robert Rhodes KC is part of several Far Eastern arbitration and mediation panels, and that his interest in China stems from having read Classical Chinese at Oxford.

Robert Rhodes KC acts as counsel, arbitrator and mediator, specialising in international arbitrationcommercialfinancial servicesregulatory and disciplinary law, civil fraud and business crime (including civil and criminal fraud, asset forfeiture, tax investigations, bribery and money laundering). He was Standing Counsel to the Inland Revenue for 10 years before taking silk. He has lectured in various continents on international mediation, international arbitration, fraud, bribery, and money laundering, and has published extensively.
