With women’s Spanish football plunging deeper into chaos, CNN World Sport invited Outer Temple’s Sam Cuthbert to comment on the prospect of player sanctions for boycotting future games over concerns about safety and the lack of structural changes. Sam comments on the legal consequences relating to Article 104 of the current law of sport in Spain.
Samuel Cuthbert specialises in Sports Law, Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence. He is frequently instructed both as a led junior counsel and in his own right. He regularly acts on behalf of both athletes and national governing bodies and has recently been published in specialist Sports Law publications on the topic of concussion in rugby. He has a particular specialism litigating head injuries in sport. Sam is appointed to the Sports Resolutions Pro Bono Panel. Before coming to the Bar in 2018 Samuel worked at an international law firm advising on Private, Commercial and Sports Law Matters.
