On Thursday 7 June, members appeared in a mock-tribunal developed and organised by Excello Law, in conjunction with Outer Temple Chambers and in front of a large number of corporate clients. James Arnold sat as an Employment Judge with Gus Baker and Victoria Brown, as advocates.
The event also attracted interest from The Times.
The idea behind the event was to ‘give them a taste of what it is like to be grilled by a top-notch employment barrister‘.
The mock-tribunal at the Law Society was extremely well-attended, and a great success.
James Arnold: A specialist in employment and discrimination law. His particular expertise lies in defending complex and high-value discrimination and whistle-blowing cases, as well as providing strategic advice on a broad spectrum of employment law issues.
Gus Baker: Joined Chambers after the successful completion of his pupillage in 2015 and has a broad practice focusing on employment, commercial and regulatory disputes. Gus regularly represents clients in courts and tribunals at all levels and has appeared in the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the Employment Appeal Tribunal as well as in various County Courts, Employment Tribunals and Crown Courts.
Victoria Brown: Joined Chambers in September 2017 on completion of her pupillage. She is instructed across the spectrum of Chambers’ core practice areas and in particular, employment, pensions, commercial and public. Victoria regularly appears in courts and tribunals and has represented clients in the High Court, Employment Appeal Tribunal as well as various county courts and employment tribunals.
