Marie Douglas is the senior fees clerk and manages the collection of fees for members of chambers. She works closely with her fees team to ensure that fee notes and reminder letters are sent out to our clients in the correct and appropriate manner. She deals with queries relating to the payment of fees which also invariably include replying to the paying parties points of dispute, together with queries relating to Conditional Fee Agreements. She also assists in the billing of Chambers enquiry work, and fraud cases.

Marie began work as a clerk in Chambers in 1989 and progressed through general clerking in addition to fee chasing up to 2002 when she was appointed senior fees clerk. Marie works 4 days a week, Monday through to Thursday.

Marie holds the Barristers Clerks qualification in business and finance and she is the deputy money laundering officer for Chambers.
