Fees and Accounts Director
Matthew is the Fees and Accounts Director at Outer Temple Chambers.
With 21 years’ of experience working within barristers’ chambers, Matthew brings extensive expertise in fees, accounts, revenue management and clerking. Most recently, he spent nine years managing the end-to-end revenue function of a leading ‘magic circle’ set, where he was responsible for the strategic and operational management of the fees function, driving financial performance and ensuring the effective management of chambers’ revenue.
Matthew oversees key aspects of fees and accounts at Outer Temple, bringing a broad understanding of the operations of a modern set of chambers. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with barristers and external clients, taking a collaborative, commercially focused approach to delivering practical solutions. He is committed to continuous improvement and to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of chambers’ operations.
Alongside his extensive fees experience, his earlier clerking career has provided him with a detailed understanding of the commercial and operational pressures facing barristers and chambers alike, enabling him to bring a broader perspective to financial management and strategic planning.
Matthew is passionate about the role that effective financial management can play in supporting the continued growth and development of Outer Temple Chambers.
