In his article, Louis analyses the complex legal and moral considerations of transgender athlete participation in sport, particularly in competitive environments. Louis’ legal analysis focuses on section 95 of the Equality Act 2010, which provides exemptions allowing organisers of gender-affected sports to restrict participation where necessary to ensure fair competition or competitor safety.
