The Employment Tribunal has handed down its judgment in Clayson & Ors v Ministry of Justice & Lord Chancellor in which Andrew Allen KC and Alexander Line represented the successful party. Judgment was handed down on 31st August 2023 by the Employment Tribunal in a group claim brought by salaried Circuit Judges, relying on their former Recorder status, in Clayson & Others v Ministry of Justice & Lord Chancellor (Case No: 2204416/2022 & Others). Outer Temple Chambers is delighted to announce that longstanding member Michael Bowes QC has been appointed a Circuit Judge, sitting on the Western Circuit from 19 September 2022. On 18th August 2022, it was announced that the Queen has appointed Michael Anthony Bowes QC to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
