Will Young successfully represented the claimant in a clinical negligence claim for £500,000 arising out of a negligent failure. Will was instructed by the Claimant in a clinical negligence claim arising out of a negligent failure to diagnose Giant Cell Arteritis, leading to virtual blindness in one eye. The Claimant attended hospital complaining of headaches and various other symptoms. The diagnosis of GCA was not adequately considered, with the result that the Claimant was not given appropriate steroid treatment, which would have avoided the subsequent deterioration in her vision.
