Outer Temple Chambers is incredibly proud of Lydia Seymour and Martina Murphy, sworn in yesterday as members of the King’s Counsel at the KC appointment Ceremony 2026. Outer Temple Chambers were thrilled to celebrate Lydia Seymour KC and Martina Murphy KC being formally appointed as King’s Counsel, yesterday. We are so proud that they have been recognised for their incredible work and demonstrable excellence in advocacy in the higher courts. Lydia and Martina had a day full of celebrations, attending ceremonies at Westminster Hall, The Royal Courts of Justice, and the Rolls Building, before heading back to Chambers for drinks with their friends, families, and colleagues. We are delighted to announce that Oliver Powell and Ben Bradley have been elevated to the ranks of King’s Counsel (Silk) in the 2024 King’s Counsel competition Appointments to King’s Counsel do not come easy and are offered to a very carefully selected shortlist of applicants just once a year. Following a recommendation by the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP, The King has approved her recommendation that Oliver Powell and Ben Bradley should both be appointed His Majesty’s Counsel. The King’s Counsel Selection Panel made its recommendations to the Lord Chancellor after considering very carefully the evidence from application forms, assessments, and interviews with applicants.
