Lorna Badham will be speaking at the PEOPIL New Lawyers Conference on Friday, 15th March 2024 at the Cercle de l’Union Interalliée in Paris. PEOPIL is a not-for-profit organisation to improve and promote judicial co-operation and mutual knowledge of legal and judicial systems of European jurisdictions in the field of personal injury law. Lorna Badham will be speaking alongside Conor Kennedy of Deka Chambers between 3:15pm to 4:15pm on ‘Workshop on Expert Reports’. Ian Denham spoke at the PEOPIL Annual Conference in Dublin

Personal injury law specialist Ian Denham spoke at the PEOPIL Annual Conference in Dublin on 29th September 2023. Outer Temple Chambers proudly sponsored the event. The PEOPIL annual conference was a two day-event hosted in Dublin this year. Ian Denham kick-started the series of talks from 10:30-11:30am with a panel session on ‘Brexit: where are we now and where are we going?’ The discussion was chaired by Liam Moloney, Vice-President PEOPIL/Moloney & Co. Solicitors, Ireland. Ian was joined by fellow panellists Joanne Brine (JMW Solicitors) and Donald Mackay (Digby Brown). Ian Denham announced as Representative for England & Wales on the PEOPIL General Board

We are pleased to announce that Outer Temple barrister Ian Denham has been appointed as the new Representative for England and Wales on the PEOPIL General Board. On Thursday 15th September 2022, PEOPIL announced their new General Board members on the eve of the Annual Conference in Copenhagen. Ian succeeds Philip Mead of 12KBW who steps down after completing his time in this role. Ian will continue to represent the interests of PEOPIL members from England & Wales, which has one of the largest memberships by country. The Board is presided over by Spanish lawyer Ana Romero. Ian Denham speaks in the PEOPIL Travel Law Seminar series. PEOPIL Seminars Ian Denham of Outer Temple Chambers recently spoke about the impact of COVID-19 on the UK’s legal system to members of PEOPIL, the Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers. This was the third in a series of webinars hosted by PEOPIL in which lawyers from member countries discuss the effects of COVID-19 in their jurisdiction. Ian explained the UK courts’ approach to case management and remote hearings during COVID-19. He also identified practical problems faced by personal injury lawyers specifically in this context, including the lack of available medical experts and the inability to conduct in-person patient assessments during ‘lockdown’.
