“Wheelpower Inter Spinal Unit Games 2016” welcomes participants

Starting on Tuesday 12th April, over 90 hospital patients from each spinal injury centre across the UK and Ireland will participate in the Inter Spinal Unit Games, organised by WheelPower at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.

Outer Temple Chambers is pleased to be one of the event’s sponsors and contribute to life quality improvement of paralysed people. Graham Woods, OTC Business Development Director, will attend the open morning on Tuesday.

The Inter Spinal Unit Games are designed to introduce wheelchair sport to those who have recently had their lives changed after a traumatic injury or illness.

Participants will be given the opportunity of a week long sports experience, which is among others, an excellent social interaction.

“The Inter Spinal Unit Games are a unique opportunity for people with a spinal cord injury to experience the range of sport and accessible activities that are available to them.” said Stewart Jeeves, WheelPower’s Sport Development Officer.
