Louis, UNODC, IOC and leading experts from the sporting world and law enforcement, worked together to produce this guide in response to the growing scale and sophistication of competition manipulation and the efforts of UNODC and IOC to combat that threat.
The guide considers the challenges associated with the prosecution of such cases and sets out a recommended framework for effective action to practically prepare the prosecution of such cases and is targeted at those engaged in the broader effort to detect and fight against corruption of sports.

Louis Weston is a highly regarded advocate, advisor, and arbitrator in Sports Law. He works internationally and domestically advising government and government bodies, international organisations, and federations as well as national governing bodies and associations on their rules, regulations and the effective governance and protection of sport.
He has acted in many of the leading corruption cases in sports in the UK and appeared before disciplinary tribunals across the world and before the CAS as well as in cases of safeguarding, and anti-doping.
Louis has acted as a member of the ICC’s Independent Oversight Group monitoring the work of its Anti-Corruption unit.
Louis sits as a Rule K arbitrator, Sport Resolutions arbitral Panel, the IBA and for the FA Judicial Panel, as well the ICP set up to address complaints in British Gymnastics. He has produced reports into the conduct of Swim England and other bodies in the UK.
