Nathan Tavares KC and Eliot Woolf KC have been elected as Heads of Chambers (Health Department) by their colleagues in Jan 2024 after having acted as Co-Heads for the Health Department for the past two years.
James Counsell KC, Head of Governance, in an announcement to Chambers, said,
“I’m delighted to be able to announce that Nathan Tavares KC has been elected (unopposed) as the Head of the Health Department. Nathan will make a great Head of the team. Eliot Woolf has been elected (also unopposed) as Deputy Head of the Health Department. That is not only a reflection of how highly they are both regarded in chambers but, perhaps more importantly, an endorsement of all the work which both Eliot and Nathan have been doing for us, as acting heads for the best part of two years.”
Nathan Tavares KC was called to Bar in 1992 and took Silk in 2018. Nathan specialises in clinical negligence, catastrophic personal injury claims, product liability, and professional negligence. He has sat as a judge of the Mental Health Tribunal since 2004. He also sits on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Personal Injury Law, to which he is a regular contributor.
Eliot Woolf KC was called to Bar in 1993 and took Silk in 2018. Eliot Woolf KC specialises exclusively in the fields of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury (domestic and international).
