Ben Fitzgerald joins Outer Temple Chambers’ Health Team

Outer Temple Chambers is delighted to welcome Practice Manager Ben Fitzgerald to our health team.

We are delighted to welcome Ben Fitzgerald to the Practice Management Team at Outer Temple Chambers. Ben has taken up the position of Practice Manager and will be supporting the Health Department, which includes Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury and Travel, Sports and Public Law practices.

Ben will work alongside Mark Gardner and Chris Rowe to ensure the efficient day to day running of the team and support Paul Barton, the Health Team Practice Director.

Ben has been clerking since 2008, with experience in multiple practice areas, most recently focusing on personal injury, clinical negligence and international practices. He has also managed employment and professional discipline during his time in previous roles.

His responsibilities include diary management, agreement of fees, marketing activities for his team of barristers and the listing of cases. He has an excellent rapport with clients, always endeavouring to find the right solution both for clients and counsel in a timely fashion. Legal 500 UK noted some client feedback in their recent listings; “Ben Fitzgerald is a fantastic clerk. He is the highest calibre of clerk I have worked with.”

Ben said of his move to Outer Temple; “I am pleased to be joining a growing set with a strong reputation and I look forward to further developing my career here. I look forward to building new relationships and helping the team continue to flourish.”

Paul Barton, Practice Director said of Ben’s arrival. “The Health Team is expanding at a rate of knots and Ben’s arrival will help us continue to offer a seamless and professional service to clients. We are very pleased to have him on board.”

Ben studied Politics & International Relations at University of Southampton and has completed short courses relevant to his role including Mental Health First Aid and GDPR with the Bar Council. In the past, he has mentored juniors clerks during their studies and training. We are sure that of all of his qualities and experience will be put to great use at Outer Temple and that our clients will continue to receive a first class service.
