The DIFC Academy are hosting a course named ‘Advanced Advocacy Skills‘ which is part of the DIFC Laws Certificate programme. This comprehensive training explores the application of traditional advocacy skills to activities routinely performed by lawyers. There will be series of both unassessed and assessed advocacy exercises. These exercises take the form of mock hearings covering submissions (written and oral), witness handling and general advocacy tips. They serve as useful refreshers for courtroom skills.
This will be third and last part of the course, all three provided by barristers from Outer Temple Chambers. This session of the advanced advocacy course will be hosted by Jonathan Hand KC and Peter Linstead. The training will focus on ‘Appeal Advocacy and Advocacy Assessment Exercise’ and will involve: presentation and workshop on grounds of appeal, presentation and workshop on oral submissions and advocacy assessment exercise.
